Endless Path of a Yurei Girl (Reboot) 2

This is a reboot of a story I wrote more than half a year ago, a "What if?", what had happened should Shinko have died suddenly without her knowledge... if she had become a Yurei (A Japanese ghost whose hands dangling lifelessly from their wrists, and they lack legs, instead sporting a blue trail of energy), what happens is a journey, a journey that will change her li-...er...undeath.

Her head was spinning, if you could still call it that. Over the course of one day, she died... felt true despair and sadness...and then was offered a chance of rebirth and friendship, how could she not feel alright with so much happening at once? She sighed, and looked up towards the night sky, and the pale, full moon, to keep her company. "I...I never realized how long the night really is... I always did my homework, read books...and then I got tired and fell asleep...but now I can't fall asleep...and now I know how long and dull the night is..." she said to herself. "Maybe...I should go explore..." For a second, the sad spirit had a spark of happiness "I-It could be fun..." With new found hope, and a strange feeling of movement as she floated towards parts unknown.

Despair, thats all the orange haired boy felt. He had no leads as to his life goal, people did not believe him, and even his parents said he should just give up. What could he do? "I can't give up, I KNOW ghosts exists! I saw one that snowy day in Osaka! Why won't people believe me?! If only..." He turned towards his TV to take his mind off, the news was on.
"Today, tragedy struck, as a young school girl was found dead near an old building, the cause of death is yet unknown, but the body has been identified as Shinko Jutsei, a student at a nearby school" ... Genius struck the photographer. "That's it! Maybe... there's a ghost of this girl at school! I have to go check! Its worth a shot!" He said, grabbing his camera and running out the door.

The strange feeling of movement aside, the young ghost had reached her destiny... her old school, sadness overcame her, but at the same time, nostalgia for days long past, she entered the school where she spent most of her time when she was still in a mortal shell. She floated by the classrooms, and recalled how her teachers praised her, her classmates being jealous of her... and...other memories she'd rather forget, she sighed, and continued on.

Hours had passed, but with his sheer determination...and a lock pick, Fumihiro had broken into the school, intent on finding the ghost of this recently deceased girl, it was a shred of hope, and by God he would pursue it to reach his goal. "Kinda creepy here at night" He said, turning on a flashlight and looking around. "Well, lets get started" The upstart youth said as he began to go down the deserted halls. ... Hours passed, but he never found one scrap of a spectral prescience, sad, he turned around the hallway, and began to leave.

She did not know how long she had been in the school, but she was about to leave, she wanted to look at her old classroom one more time, she floated towards the hallway it was in, and beheld a sight she didn't expect to see... a boy...he had a flashlight, and orange hair, what was he doing here?

As he stepped forward with dread, Fumihiro felt ultimate defeat "I guess I will give up..." He was halfway down the hall, and ready to give up on his life dream... but looked up, and his heart jump, at the end of the hall...was a girl with auburn hair, she looked surprised, and wore a uniform, but beneath her torso...there were no legs! He knew it, there was a ghost here! On instinct, he immediately began taking pictures of this phantasm.

Shinko was confused, the boy took pictures of her... did he break into school to take pictures of her? Or was he looking for something else? Regardless, she was getting pictures taken without her permission, and she didn't know how to react, would she try to scare him off? ... No, even she knew she wouldn't have the heart...if she still had one... to do it. So she stood her ground, until the strange boy turned tail and ran off. She couldn't help but think to herself "...He is kind of cute..." as he left. "Thank you miss! I have proof now!" was the last thing she heard from the boy as he escaped

He did it! He got undeniable proof of the existence of ghosts! He had enough photos for an entire roll, he decided now was the time to leave, who knows if this girl would curse him? He took one last picture, and ran. Proud of himself, he cracked a smile. "Thank you miss! I have proof now!" as he fled. As he stood outside the school out of breath, he laughed in victory, "Finally! I did it!" He said "pictures of a... pretty adorable ghost girl... To the red room!" The photographer said as he ran home.

With a sigh, the ghost girl looked outside, it was almost sunrise. She decided to return to her... "home" for now, where she had met her demise, who knows? Perhaps her...new friend would be waiting for her. She floated back towards where she came, with thoughts of that strange boy who had taken pictures of  her, and glee that her ghastly existence was not completely boring and unhappy.
